DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS
"Plurima Mortis Imago"
A quintet coming from Eastern parts (Poland to be more exact), Devilish Impressions preside over a melodic style which could be classified as symphonic Black Prog. The technique and occasional keyboard avalanches are the main ingredients of "Plurima Mortis Imago", which should please lovers of grandiloquent metal. The production benefits from good sound quality flowing through the three-quarters of an hour of this album. I'm not altogether convinced by this opus which in spite of several technical and rhythmic touches, leaves me a bit cold. The style isn't something I'm comfortable with although I must give due recognition that musically the album isn't bad at all. The problem seems to be with the guitars which lack force. But apart from that, the album shouldn't be ignored and will doubtless delight fans of the group and the genre as I have stated above.
Noteworthy also is the video (which isn't anything special) of the album's last track "SataniChaoSymphony".
