DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS
"Diabolicanos: Act III Armageddon "

Another incredible name comes from Poland ! In action since 2000, Devilish Impressions has caused such an impact among the european critics and extreme music lovers when they debuted independently with "Plurima Mortis Imago" (2005), which quickly got signed with English label Conquer Records. Their first action was to re-release this debut and now they are liberating its successor, "Diabolicanos - Act III: Armageddon", a defiant album that has everything to be an export product to the rest of the globe.

Devilish Impressions has its roots on Black and Death Metal, but a lot of times they push their arrangements until almost the edge of the progressive sinuosity. There are many juxtaposed sound layers, with the force of somber melodies dominating a good part of its structures, and so with all this instrumental dynamism, the vocalist Quazarre knows when to cede and give up singing in a tortured way, therefore giving space to clearer vocal lines.
It  all continues in such an intriguing way, that fatally the listener will be kept on its highest expectations, wanting to discover what it is yet to come. And the best part is that it is all elaborated with such control and planning that the final result is still totally linked to the extreme music, be it for the opposing and profane lyrics, killer and saturated riffs, or even for the countless blastbeats scattered through the repertoire.
Besides the nine songs being on the highest level, it's impossible to resist to the epic and brutal beauty of “Tales Of Babylon's Whore”, where guitars and synthesizers are hamoniously entwined. It's also worth mention the curious title of  Natas Ro Dog On Si Ereth (Of Plagues And Blasphemy)": observe the result when you read the words backwards...
I believe that Devilish Impressions are among the most creative exponents of extreme music in their country. The band is extremely talented when searching for their own way with originality, and the headbanger that considers him/herself picky has the obligation in checking "Diabolicanos - Act III: Armageddon" out. Now all we have to do is wait for some Brazilian record company to take the initiative in liberating this little masterpiece in national territory. The band is too good to be kept only for the european audience - a privileged audience, we must say....
